Our client is a licensed international payments institution which is helping businesses and individuals move money efficiently across borders while supporting greater financial accessibility worldwide. To support continued growth, they are looking for a Treasury & Payments Specialist to join their Treasury team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working at the intersection of payments, liquidity management, and operational excellence. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of funds, maintaining financial accuracy, and supporting the stability of critical payment operations within a dynamic FinTech environment.
🔍 Responsibilities:
• Monitor daily cash positions and liquidity levels to ensure sufficient funding across operational and safeguarding accounts;
• Execute payment settlements, merchant payouts, and fund transfers accurately and within established timelines;
• Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, client balances, and payment transactions, investigating and resolving discrepancies;
• Support treasury forecasting activities by tracking cash inflows, outflows, and funding requirements;
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with treasury and payment operation procedures;
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Product teams to support business initiatives and operational efficiency;
• Monitor payment processing activities and escalate exceptions, delays, or operational risks when required;
• Assist in optimising treasury processes through automation, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives;
• Prepare treasury-related reports and provide operational insights to management;
• Contribute to strategic projects related to payments infrastructure, banking partnerships, and financial operations.
🎓 Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline;
• Previous experience in Treasury, Payments Operations, Banking, Financial Services, or a similar role;
• Understanding of cash management, payment flows, reconciliations, and financial controls;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently;
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills;
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated FinTech environment;
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems; experience with payment platforms is considered an advantage.
