Payroll Accountant (Vilnius)

The client is an international banking technology company delivering software, ATM infrastructure, self-service solutions, and payment technologies for banks, financial institutions, and retail networks across global markets. Their solutions are used in dozens of countries worldwide and support critical banking operations, self-service device management, transaction monitoring, security, and retail automation.
As the company continues expanding its international operations, they are looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant to join their finance team in Vilnius. This role plays an important part in ensuring smooth payroll operations, compliance, and accurate financial reporting within a larger, structured technology business environment. You will work closely with internal departments and subsidiaries while supporting a company operating in the fast-moving banking technology and FinTech ecosystem.
🔍 Responsibilities:
• Manage full-cycle payroll accounting processes for employees;
• Calculate salaries, payroll taxes, social contributions, bonuses, and other payroll-related payments accurately and on time;
• Prepare and submit payroll declarations, tax reports, and statutory filings to Lithuanian authorities;
• Administer and control summary time tracking processes and payroll-related documentation;
• Review, validate, and consolidate accounting data received from subsidiaries and internal business units;
• Perform account reconciliations, debt control, offset preparation, and payroll-related financial checks;
• Prepare internal financial reports, statements, reconciliations, and audit support documentation;
• Ensure compliance with Lithuanian payroll, tax, and accounting regulations;
• Work with Rivilė and Vikarina accounting systems to maintain accurate payroll and accounting records;
• Support finance process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency within a growing international technology company.
🎓 Requirements:
• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field;
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including strong hands-on payroll accounting expertise;
• Previous experience working in a larger company or group environment would be highly advantageous;
• Strong practical understanding of payroll taxation, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance processes;
• Experience working with Rivilė and Vikarina accounting systems;
• Russian language skills;
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently;
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy in a dynamic business environment.
