The client is an established payment technology company developing and maintaining solutions for POS terminal networks, payment card authorization, transaction routing, and acquiring infrastructure. Their systems support real world payment environments where stability, accuracy, security, and integration quality are business-critical.
This role is focused on QA for Android POS applications, payment gateway functionality, and complex integrations between terminals, banks, processors, and external partners. It is a strong opportunity for a QA Engineer who wants to work close to payment infrastructure, not just standard web or mobile testing.
🔍 Responsibilities:
Test Android POS applications, payment gateway functionality, and EFT POS-related systems;
Create, maintain, and improve test cases, checklists, test scenarios, and bug reports;Execute functional, regression, integration, performance, and security oriented testing across payment systems;
Validate transaction flows involving POS terminals, banks, processors, acquiring infrastructure, and external partners;
Analyse logs, API behaviour, network traffic, and system responses to identify defects and integration issues;
Work with Postman, Swagger, Fiddler, Wireshark, Jira, and test management tools to support structured QA processes;
Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, product specialists, and technical teams to ensure testability and product quality;
Support end-to-end testing of complex payment scenarios, including terminal-to-host and client-server interactions;
Document defects clearly, follow up on fixes, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA standards;
Help ensure that payment solutions meet high reliability, security, and operational quality expectations.
🎓 Requirements:
1.5+ years of manual QA experience, ideally in mobile, payments, hardware-related, or integration-heavy systems;
Solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle, QA documentation, test design, and defect management;
Experience with client-server architecture, API testing, and system integration testing;
Hands-on experience with Postman, Swagger, Jira, and test management tools such as TestRail or similar;
Ability to analyse logs and network traffic using tools such as Fiddler or Wireshark;
Experience or strong interest in Android POS systems, payment terminals, or embedded/payment devices;
Analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and ability to investigate complex technical issues;
Fluent English and clear communication skills when working with technical and cross-functional teams.
Nice to have:
Understanding of payments, EFT POS, acquiring, card schemes, or transaction routing;
Knowledge of payment protocols and payment terminal communication flows;
Experience with hardware testing or terminal device testing;
Familiarity with PCI DSS or other payment security standards.
