The client is a rapidly growing electronic money institution building a specialized financial platform for high-potential industries. With strong market positioning and ambitious expansion into merchant services, the company is investing heavily in its acquiring capabilities. This role sits at the core of that journey, combining strategic ownership, deep payments expertise and hands-on product leadership. It’s an opportunity to shape a next-generation acquiring ecosystem in a fast-scaling FinTech environment.
🔍 Responsibilities:
Own and drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for acquiring and merchant services solutions;
Define and execute a clear product strategy and roadmap aligned with business growth objectives;
Lead the development of a scalable payment gateway supporting Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other modern payment methods;
Manage relationships with card schemes (Visa, Mastercard) and ensure alignment with evolving network mandates;
Interpret and implement regulatory and compliance requirements, including PCI-DSS and risk programs (e.g., VIRP);
Design and optimize seamless merchant onboarding and payment flows to improve conversion and user experience;
Collaborate closely with engineering to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable backend/API-driven solutions;
Prioritize product backlog based on impact, balancing short-term wins with long-term architecture;
Define, track, and optimize KPIs to measure product performance and business impact;
Present product strategy, progress, and insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
🎓 Requirements:
4–6 or more years of Product Management experience within payments, acquiring, or card issuing;
Strong expertise in card acquiring, including clearing, settlement and interchange mechanics;
Deep understanding of Visa and Mastercard rules, mandates, and risk/compliance frameworks;
Proven experience working with payment gateways, orchestration layers, or merchant services platforms;
Solid technical understanding of APIs, backend systems, and scalable architecture principles;
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions in complex environments;
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business teams;
Demonstrated ownership of complex product areas with measurable business outcomes.
