Our client - an established banking and financial technology leader that delivers specialized software and tech solutions for banks, financial institutions and retail organizations across 80+ countries, is looking for an experienced Head of Project Management. The company works with international financial institutions, implementing modern technology that powers secure, reliable financial services.

The company develops and implements proprietary software solutions for banking systems and ATM infrastructure used by financial institutions worldwide.

In this role, you will lead the Project Management Department, ensuring complex technology projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards. You will collaborate with banking clients, internal engineering teams and senior leadership while building scalable project management processes that support the company’s continued growth in global markets.

You will lead a team of approximately 6 professionals, some working from the Vilnius office and others remotely from different cities or countries.

🔍 Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Project Management Department, overseeing multiple technology delivery streams;

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of software implementation projects for banking and ATM infrastructure clients;

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high quality standards;

• Coordinate cross-functional teams including software engineering, product, and infrastructure specialists;

• Act as the primary point of contact for banking clients and strategic partners during project execution;

• Implement and continuously improve project management methodologies and operational processes;

• Allocate resources, prioritize initiatives, and monitor project performance across multiple engagements;

• Prepare project status updates, risk assessments, and performance reports for senior management;

• Identify potential risks, resolve delivery challenges, and maintain strong stakeholder communication;

• Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence within the project team;

• Oversee project financial performance, including monitoring project profitability, resource utilization and delivery efficiency;

• Work closely with QA and testing teams responsible for manual testing and validation of complex ATM-related software solutions and banking integrations;

• Support coordination between project delivery and teams involved in testing software integrations in banking environments.

🎓 Requirements:

• Proven experience in IT or software project management, ideally in complex technology environments;

• Previous experience leading and managing project teams or departments;

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and IT delivery frameworks;

• Experience working with banking, financial services or FinTech technology projects is highly desirable;

• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, PMI, or similar frameworks;

• Strong analytical thinking and ability to optimize processes and workflows;

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;

• Professional working proficiency in English and Russian;

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and maintain performance under pressure;

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to organize processes, develop team members and maintain team performance in demanding project environments;

• Experience working with ATM systems or highly customized financial software solutions would be considered a strong advantage.
