The client is a licensed payments company in Poland operating under a Small Payment Institution licence and currently in the process of applying for a full licence. The director's role sits at the heart of that transition, ensuring smooth communication with the regulator and solid day-to-day governance locally. You will act as a key point of contact with authorities while supporting the operational presence in Poland. It’s a trusted, senior role with visibility, responsibility, and direct access to leadership.
🔍 Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact with the Polish financial regulator (KNF);
Prepare, review, and submit regulatory reports and official correspondence;
Ensure ongoing compliance with KNF requirements and local regulations;
Support the full licence application process and related documentation;
Coordinate regulatory requests, clarifications, and follow-ups;
Oversee and support basic office management and local administration in Poland;
Liaise closely with the CEO on regulatory status, risks, and next steps;
Monitor regulatory changes relevant to payment institutions;
Ensure accurate record-keeping and audit-ready documentation.
🎓 Requirements:
Eligibility to meet KNF regulatory requirements for a Director-level role;
Experience in the financial services or payments sector;
Prior exposure to regulatory communication or compliance matters;
Strong understanding of Polish regulatory environment (KNF);
Polish language proficiency sufficient for regulator communication;
English at Upper-Intermediate to Advanced level;
High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.
