This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern financial institution as a Management Board Member responsible for AML/CFT, Compliance, and Risk Management. The company is expanding its governance framework and is looking for a leader with a strong command of financial regulations, sanctions, and corporate integrity. You’ll oversee critical control functions and ensure that compliance standards remain robust and future-ready in a fast-changing FinTech environment.
🔍 Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of AML/CFT, Compliance, Legal, and Risk functions.
- Act as the senior executive accountable for full AML/CFT compliance at board level.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of the AML/Compliance Department, Risk Director, and Legal Counsel.
- Develop and implement internal governance, risk, and compliance frameworks aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Ensure full adherence to sanctions, AML, and anti-fraud regulations.
- Represent the company in communication with regulators and auditors.
- Drive a culture of compliance awareness and ethical conduct across the organization.
- Continuously assess and enhance internal processes to meet evolving EU and local regulatory requirements.
- Report to the Chairperson of the Management Board on key compliance, risk, and legal matters.
- Support strategic decision-making with compliance insights and risk analysis.
🎓 Requirements:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Law.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in AML/CFT and Sanctions compliance within financial services.
- Proven leadership experience managing AML or Compliance teams at a senior level.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations, risk management, and corporate governance.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent professional reputation and integrity.
- Fluency in English; Latvian or Russian considered an advantage.
