Our client — a specialised bank in Lithuania — is entering a new era of growth, digitisation, and service expansion. To support this ambitious journey, they are seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead the development and execution of their risk management strategy. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence the bank’s strategic direction while ensuring resilience, compliance, and sustainable growth.

🔍 Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive risk management strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory standards.
• Oversee the full risk framework, including credit, liquidity, market, operational, and compliance risks.
• Define and maintain the bank’s risk appetite framework, including limits and key risk indicators (KRIs).
• Present risk assessments, reports, and insights to the Management Board and Risk Committee.
• Lead ICAAP and ILAAP processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations.
• Drive risk identification, stress testing, and scenario analysis to detect vulnerabilities.
• Maintain and continuously improve risk management policies, procedures, and controls.
• Ensure full compliance with requirements from the Central Bank and supervisory authorities.
• Foster a strong risk culture across the organisation, advising and guiding all business units.

🎓 Requirements:

• 3–5 years of senior-level experience in risk management within a bank, credit union, or financial institution.
• Strong expertise in credit, liquidity, and operational risk frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of EU banking regulations and supervisory practices.
• Advanced analytical skills with ability to objectively evaluate complex risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher) and Lithuanian.
• Leadership mindset with proven ability to influence risk culture at organisation level.
