We’re looking for an ambitious and experienced Business Development Officer to join our client, a global Payment Service Provider, and help scale their payment infrastructure across new markets while driving the launch of innovative solutions.
With a strong international presence, 400+ team members, 20+ years of expertise in partnering with banks, card schemes, alternative payment methods, and Open Banking providers, our client delivers cutting-edge, tailored payment solutions to online based businesses worldwide. Combining regulatory know-how, product innovation, and close collaboration with partners, they continue to expand their global reach and strengthen their position in the digital payments space.
This is a high-impact role for a proactive business development professional ready to drive measurable growth, build strategic alliances, and shape the next generation of global payments.
🔍 Responsibilities:
- Launch and scale global acquiring and payout channels (USD, EUR, multi-currency) across internet acquiring, APMs, and Open Banking.
- Identify and build strategic partnerships with banks, PSPs, card schemes, and infrastructure providers.
- Lead integrations via third-party platforms and drive go-to-market plans for new payment solutions.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform pricing, positioning, and product strategy.
- Map out payment ecosystems across geographies and verticals, including potential partners and clients.
- Actively support launched payment channels and client relationships for long-term performance.
- Act as a project and product liaison between Business Development, Product, and Compliance teams.
- Represent company at industry events and conferences, generating valuable insights and connections.
🎓 Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in international payments, fintech, or e-commerce — ideally across acquiring, APMs, or Open Banking.
- Proven ability to source, negotiate, and launch profitable payment channels.
- Strong existing network within banks, card schemes, and PSPs globally.
- Analytical mindset with experience in market mapping, pricing, and business model validation.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Comfort working across both low-risk and high-risk verticals, including remittance and gambling.
- Excellent English; additional languages are a plus.
