Our client, a fast-growing payment service provider, is seeking a highly motivated Sales Executive to drive the acquisition of e-commerce merchants for both their Open Banking and Card Acquiring solutions.
As a regulated financial institution, the company offers a next-generation payments platform tailored for e-commerce merchants—combining the instant, cost-effective benefits of Open Banking with the global flexibility of traditional card payments. As they expand across Europe and the UK, they’re looking for a dynamic sales professional who can identify high-potential leads, engage decision-makers, and turn prospects into live, revenue-generating merchants.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the acquisition of new e-commerce merchants in the EU and UK, with a primary focus on selling card acquiring services.
- Leverage your extensive network and industry expertise to identify and convert high-potential leads.
- Build and maintain a strong merchant pipeline, consistently generating new business opportunities. The target is to conduct up to 20 meetings/calls with potential merchants per week.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve ambitious sales targets and growth objectives. The target is to onboard 5–10 new merchants per month
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, tracking progress against targets and identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on sales activities and market feedback.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the payments industry, specifically working directly with e-commerce merchants.
- Proven track record in building a strong merchant pipeline.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Self-driven and able to organize work independently.
- Strong and wide network of e-commerce merchants
- Strong understanding of online payment methods, particularly Open Banking and Card Acquiring.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English.
- Ability to create and achieve long-term sales plans.
- Excellent networking skills to establish connections and partnerships in the fintech community.
