Our client, a rapidly growing payment service provider, is looking for a skilled Merchant Onboarding Specialist to support the onboarding of e-commerce merchants across both Open Banking and Card Acquiring solutions.
As a regulated financial institution, the company offers an end-to-end payments platform designed for digital businesses—combining the speed and efficiency of Open Banking with the flexibility of traditional card payments. As they scale their commercial operations, they are strengthening the onboarding function to ensure a smooth, fast, and compliant client activation process.
In this role, you’ll serve as a key link between the Sales and Compliance teams—guiding clients through onboarding, collecting and reviewing KYC/KYB documentation, and preparing complete merchant files for compliance approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end onboarding for new e-commerce clients.
- Collect, review, and prepare full KYC/KYB documentation packages for compliance review.
- Support Sales in gathering client information and clarifying onboarding requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of documents, flagging missing or non-compliant items.
- Maintain up-to-date client records and onboarding status in CRM.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to streamline onboarding processes.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in e-commerce client onboarding within the fintech sector. Specifically for Card Acquiring solutions. Ideal candidate should have at least 150-200 merchant onboardings in his past career.
- Hands-on experience working with WebShield.
- Proven ability to gather KYC/KYB information from public registries and official sources.
- Familiarity with Visa and Mastercard Accepted Industries Policies and compliance standards.
- Solid understanding of KYC/KYB documentation and onboarding flows.
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple onboarding cases in parallel.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and onboarding tools.
- Proactive, organized, and capable of working independently.
