We are looking for a diligent and compliance-focused Sanctions Onboarding Analyst to join the Compliance team of a dynamic Europe-based EMI with a global outlook. In this role, you will be responsible for screening new customers and business partners against global sanctions lists and ensuring a risk-based approach to onboarding.
🔍 Responsibilities:
- Perform sanctions screening on individuals and entities during the onboarding process;
- Review alerts and potential matches identified through automated systems; escalate cases as needed;
- Work closely with the onboarding and KYC teams to ensure compliance with EU and global sanctions regulations;
- Maintain accurate records of reviews and decisions in accordance with internal policies and regulatory expectations;
- Monitor relevant sanctions regimes (EU, OFAC, UN, etc.) and support updates to screening logic and lists;
- Assist in the refinement of onboarding procedures to enhance compliance efficiency and reduce false positives;
- Provide input on compliance risk assessments related to customer profiles and geographies;
- Support internal and external audits by supplying documentation and insights related to onboarding compliance.
🎓 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field;
- 1–3 years of experience in sanctions compliance, onboarding, or 1+ year - in KYC within the financial services sector;
- Familiarity with EU and international sanctions regimes and their impact on onboarding practices;
- Experience using sanctions screening and case management tools;
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex data;
- Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset;
- Fluency in Lithuanian and English;
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS, CGSS) are a plus.
