We are seeking a visionary and experienced IT Director to lead the company's technology strategy and operations in a high-risk, fast-paced fintech environment. As part of a rapidly expanding EU-licensed Electronic Money Institution regulated by the Bank of Lithuania, you will play a pivotal role in designing, managing, and evolving the core IT infrastructure and systems to support secure, scalable, and innovative digital payment services.
🔍 Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain essential IT infrastructure, including security tools, operating systems, cloud platforms, servers, and end-user devices;
- Lead technical planning and execution for digital banking, payments, and back-office solutions;
- Supervise and guide system administrators and developers on IT best practices and compliance standards;
- Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies (e.g., BaaS, containerized cloud services) relevant to fintech;
- Collaborate with international teams (e.g., R&D teams in China) to translate business needs into technical requirements and specifications;
- Ensure robust documentation and IT architecture is audit-ready and aligned with regulatory expectations;
- Manage vendor relationships, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and monitor service quality;
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and data backup strategies;
- Serve as a technical liaison in banking audits and security reviews in collaboration with the CISO.
🎓 Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
- 5+ years of experience in IT management within banking or financial services;
- Deep knowledge of client/server architecture, digital payments infrastructure, and cybersecurity;
- Familiarity with ISO standards (27001, 22301, 31000), penetration testing tools, SIEM systems;
- Experience working in regulated environments with understanding of GDPR, DORA, PSD2, PCI DSS, and NIS2;
- Proven project management capabilities;
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills;
- Fluent in Lithuanian and English.
