Our client, a fast-growing European fintech and insurtech group, is looking for an experienced Regulatory Business Planning Specialist to develop business plans and operational procedures for regulatory applications across multiple jurisdictions. This role is key in ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational readiness as the company expands its footprint.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of business plans and operational procedures for regulatory applications across multiple jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with financial, legal, compliance, and regulatory teams to ensure full alignment with jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- Develop and document operational procedures, including AML, KYC, risk management, and IT security policies.
- Tailor business plans and procedures to meet specific regulatory expectations in each jurisdiction.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify areas for improvement in existing business plans and compliance frameworks.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and update business plans and procedures accordingly.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on regulatory requirements and best practices.
🎓 Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, business plan development, or a similar role (preferably in fintech or financial services)
- Strong understanding of EMI, payment services, and e-money regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven experience in developing business plans and operational procedures for regulatory submissions.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
💡 Preferred Skills (but not mandatory):
- Experience working directly with financial regulators.
- Knowledge of AML, KYC, and risk management frameworks.
- Familiarity with IT security and data protection requirements for financial institutions.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or similar.
