Our client, a Lithuania-based Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) currently in the process of obtaining MiCA compliance, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its Board of Directors. Licensed in Canada, Lithuania, and the Netherlands, the company is dedicated to setting new standards in the cryptocurrency industry by providing a secure and user-friendly platform that supports seamless crypto trading, P2P transactions, and fiat deposits/withdrawals. Committed to compliance with global regulations, the company’s mission is to deliver innovative crypto products designed to meet the evolving needs of users while ensuring reliability and accessibility.
While awaiting MiCA approval, the company will remain low-operational, with greater involvement required from the COO/Board Member once regulatory approval is obtained.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
As the COO and a member of the Board of Directors, you will:
- Develop and oversee operational strategies, ensuring alignment with MiCA requirements.
- Collaborate with the CEO to drive strategic initiatives and long-term growth plans.
- Manage the implementation of processes for launching operations post-MiCA approval.
- Represent the company during regulatory reviews and ensure compliance with Lithuanian and EU standards.
- Lead operational planning for services, including crypto exchanges, payment solutions, and P2P platforms.
- Provide leadership in optimizing the operational efficiency of the company’s products, such as mobile apps and fiat payment systems.
🎓 Candidate Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in a senior leadership role (e.g., CEO, COO, CTO) within the Banking or FinTech sectors, particularly EMI, API, PSP, MSB, VASP, or similar.
- Fluency in English and Lithuanian is essential.
- Must meet the Bank of Lithuania (BOL) requirements to serve as a Board Member.
- Strong ability to manage cross-functional teams, implement processes, and scale operations.
